Holiday: Day 4 - Bastille Day
What immediately struck me about Bastille Day was that is wasn’t a copy of Australia Day but French, and maybe that’s just because I am an outsider looking in, or maybe it was because of the location we were in, but needless to say I was expecting people dressed in French colours, waving French flags, probably not getting on the beers, but I did expect to see a little more nationalism, or maybe French people just go about it a different way.

Holiday: Day 3 - Paris
I know that sometimes I can be a little on the cheap side, but it has its pros and cons. Well today was one of the cons as I’d booked a 7am Eurostar from London to Paris which meant another ridiculously early start and a quick trip in a taxi to London St Pancras Station.
The taxi, or are that cabs? Well whatever they are it was the first time I had ever been in one. I’m not really sure what I was expecting but I think. that I thought they would be old and clunky, but they aren’t.

Holiday: Day 2 - London
Massive day, we kicked off early , we came home late and we did so much in between!!
The whole early to bed early to rise thing really did pay off for us with myself and the kids waking up before 5am, so we were ready and out the door before 7am which is great for maximising what you do in the day, not so great for the feet :(

Holiday: Day 1 - London
I’m sure others have differing opinions but I love the London underground.
I think the key to having a good time in London when on holidays is familiarising yourself with the underground, because it really does help you get anywhere you need to go quickly.

Holiday: Day 0
All holidays begin with great optimism, ours was no different, however after what I would describe as a positive start in the morning (we went out to breakfast as a family) things turned quickly when we received the notification that our flight would be delayed, from 4pm to 8pm.. arghh

Holiday: Day -1
Someone much smarter than me once told me that the best thing you can do when you come back from a holiday is to book another holiday so that you always have something to look forward to.. I did not take this advice, however, in early February I realised my annual leave accrual was building up, borders were starting to open and travel became possible overseas, so I put the two of these together and decided to book an overseas trip, and so I sit here today writing this block having been excited ever since I booked, and the day has finally arrived (thanks for whoever gave me that advice).

Panthers vs Titans
Our first major road trip for a match this year and for a while there I thought the outcome was going to be that we travelled all this way to witness our first loss.
Returning to the Football
Okay so this post is a little later than what I had originally anticipated, but better late than never!
How good is it to have the rugby league back, and with that have our teams playing their games at home and no restrictions on crowds?
